Calopteryx Project
Image Processing
Image segmentation software that can to automatically crop out wings and measure length and width. Works also with wing pigment to measure darkness and size of wing patch. Software uses a trained random forest algorithm to detect wing location and whether wings are front, back, right or left. It then is able to crop the wing out of the background and orient the wing in a single direction for easy viewing.
